How records are curated
- Only the backend team can publish a record.
- Each record rests on at least one official or primary document (Cabinet decision, gazette, ministry, statutory body, procurement notice), with its link, publisher, document date, the date we retrieved it and a note on reuse terms.
- Status and dates come from those documents, and every record shows when it was last checked.
- No scores, ratings or projected returns. Read the documents and ask the agency before you rely on a record.
What the statuses mean
- Announced
- Approved or announced by government; no call for bids or proposals seen yet.
- Open
- Listed as available, or a call for bids or proposals is open.
- Closed
- The call has closed and no award has been seen.
- Awarded
- A contract or lease has been awarded.
- Withdrawn
- The publisher has withdrawn the listing.
Sources we looked at and did not use (4)
- SLTDA EOI for SLTDA-owned lands, 13 July 2025 (and its deadline extension): Read on 30 Oct 2026: none of its parcels is in Galle or Matara district.
- Tender aggregators (tendersontime.com, biddetail.com, tenderlive.lk, tenderimpulse.com): Not primary sources; details behind log-ins or paywalls.
- BOI investsrilanka.com search: Retried 30 Oct 2026: the WordPress API still returns HTTP 403, but the site search works. It found the Galle Techno Park and Hikkaduwa land pages (added); searches for Matara and Weligama found no land or project pages.
- UDA Galle project page: Read on 30 Oct 2026: page says 'No data available'.
