Galle Port Development Project: 45 ha reclamation in the Bay of Galle

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority plans to reclaim about 45 hectares along Dewata Beach in the Bay of Galle for tourism and real-estate uses beside a new 150 m cruise berth and terminal. The supplementary environmental impact assessment (October 2024) is on public notice with Coast Conservation.
